SSC CGL Selection Process:


Staff Selection Commission will conduct Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2013 for recruitment to different posts. The Graduation from a recognized University is the minimum Educational Qualification for the examination. The eligible candidate can apply for the posts in usually February 2013.

SSC graduate level recruitment will be completed in three phase. CGl 2013 recruitment categorized in two groups. First group for which interview test will be conducted and for 2nd group post their will be no interview test will be conducted. For example an interview cum personality test will be conducted for assistant post in various department, inspector of income tax/central excise/preventive officer/examiner/Post/narcotics, CBI SI, Divisional accountant, statistical Investigator Grade II. Pay grade of mostly posts are 4600 and 4200. Non interview post are auditor, accountant junior accountant, UDC, Tax assistant, Complier. For now interview post Grade pay will be 2800 and 2400. 

Selection procedure for combined graduate level recruitment will be as are follows.
 CGL Tier 1: First of all CGL tier 1 exam will be conducted for all candidates. Tier 1 will be conducted for scrutiny of larger no of applicants 
CGL tier 2: Graduate level mains exam is also known as TIER II exam. Question of this exam will be objective type. 
CGL Tier 3: This phase is also known as personality test or interview test. In tier 3 CPT test/skill test/document verification and other test will be conducted as per as demand of various post. 

Only those candidates who will qualified in tier 1 exam are eligible to participate in tier 2 exam. After that those candidates who will declare qualified in tier 2 will be call for tier 3. However we know that tier 1 exam conducted just for screening purpose but final merit will be prepared after including the marks of CGL tier 1 and CGL tier 2 marks. After that an interview test of 100 marks will be conducted for where it would be applicable.
