Selection Procedure: Selection Process is based on Written Exam and Interview for Engineering Assistant and only Written Test for Technician Posts.
Written Examination: The written exam will consist of (Paper-I) objective type and (Paper-II) descriptive type.
(i) Paper-I will consist of 200 Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions only and the Time Duration is 2 hours, Maximum Marks 200. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi, except Part II. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Paper-II will be held only for such candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.
(ii) Paper-II will be descriptive Type and the Time Duration is 2 hours, Maximum Mark 200, in which the candidate will be required to write short essay/letter in English and one language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of re categorization of the post in view of job requirements.
(ii) Paper-II will be descriptive Type and the Time Duration is 2 hours, Maximum Mark 200, in which the candidate will be required to write short essay/letter in English and one language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. Interview: Only those candidates who meet the cut off in Paper-II will be considered for selection/interview as the case may be. The interview for the post of Engineering Assistant will be of 100 marks. The Commission may at its discretion prescribe separate cut off in interview. There will be no interview for the post of Technician.
Final Selection: Final selection will be done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in Paper I & II (200 marks each) and interview (100 marks).
